Devin’s journey into the art of butchery began in Utah during the late 1980s, where he attended butchering school and discovered a fervent passion for the craft. Immersing himself in the rich traditions and precise techniques of butcher, Devin honed their skills and cultivated a deep appreciation for the intricate process involved in transforming livestock into fine cuts of meat. This experience laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Devin went to college for butchering in Utah in the late 1980’s. Studied beef and many aspects of the ways of butchering meat. Always loved the science and animal side of the business. As time went on, he wanted to have his own locker plant, so I worked as a butcher in a grocery store setting and also did wild game.

After getting married to Linda, we took a significant step toward realizing our vision of owning a locker plant by purchasing one in Nevada. This marked a turning point, blending our shared dreams and dedication into a business that stood for quality and craftsmanship. Nestled amid the rugged landscapes of Northern Nevada, our locker became a place where traditions and innovation coalesced, allowing us to serve the community with premium cuts and personalized service.

Eventually, the decision was made to move closer to family, seeking not only a deeper connection with loved ones but also a supportive environment to nurture this dream further. This transition brought with it fresh opportunities and a renewed sense of purpose, allowing the business to grow while staying rooted in values that emphasized family and community.
We met a lot of wonderful people and are happy raising our granddaughter with her knowing where the best meat comes from. Butchery, like any art, demands care, dedication, and attention to detail. Just as we strive to perfect our craft and deliver the best quality from our locker, so too do we pour our hearts into nurturing the next generation. Teaching values like integrity, hard work, and kindness becomes the cornerstone, ensuring they grow with a strong foundation. Watching a granddaughter embrace life with curiosity and strength fills us with the same pride as seeing the satisfied smiles of our customers—it’s about leaving a legacy not only in the business we build but in the family we cherish.
